Psalm 30:5 -- April 26, 2021

Aloha and Happy Monday! If you wanna know how my week went, read the second half of the scripture in my title haha. We had interviews and zone conference this week! President and Sister Walker and the AP's were able to come to Kauai. Zone conference is finally the way it was before covid! It was great. We talked all about chapter four of PMG which talks about the Holy Ghost. We talked about recognizing the spirit and how to help others recognize the spirit. We also talked about how we can't do anything as missionaries without the spirit.  We did a lot of different service projects this week! We helped move banana trees on a farm in Anahola which is on the other side of the Island. That was fun! They made tuna fish sandwiches for lunch and if you know me you know that is not good hahaha. I was able to eat half of it and then I just couldn't do it. Luckily the member who made them couldn't finish either and they told us to feed our leftovers to their chickens so I did.  W...

Don't worry, about a thing 🤙🏼

Happy Monday everyone and Aloha! This week was good. First off...we put Leilynn on date to be baptized on May 2!! Woo hoo! We found out the day after that both of her parents are actually members. So, it isn't a convert baptism. But the family is less active.  We made two new friends this week, Beverly and Jim. Also, all of our friends except for three came to church yesterday!   They just kept trickling in and we were so excited everytime we saw one of them walk in. Blessings for sure. This week also had its challenges. Things just kept happening that were hard and frustrating but I couldn't do anything about it so I had to remember that it was out of my control. I had to listen to Three Little Birds by Bob Marley A LOT this week haha.  I've been reading Saints again on my mission and I'm on Saints volume 2 now. This week I read about George Q Cannon and the other missionaries who came to Hawaii. When they first got here, they dedicated themselves to the work and th...

Kauai Mo Bettah 🐓 -- April 12, 2021

Aloha everyone! It was another awesome week here in Kalaheo. Seriously guys, you should all go to Kauai at some point in your life. I love it here so much and so does everyone who comes here. Our zone always says, "Kauai mo bettah" because it is haha. We were finally able to meet with Lacey and Leilynn this week!! We taught them the Restoration. As soon as Sister Larson said the first vision, the spirit in the room was different. That happens every time we say the first vision and it's just another testament to me that Joseph Smith was a true prophet. We gave them a children's Book of Mormon and invited them to read it every night, and they seemed excited! Leilynn is set to be baptized on May 2 as of right now! Prayers for Lacey and Leilynn would be awesome!! This week was another hard week for finding. But we'll find people, we know they're out there! So we held a Prom for the youth in our ward on Saturday and it was so fun! We've been planning it for abo...

Open your second stomach 🥙😋 -- April 5, 2021

Aloha!! This week was SO busy, it was awesome. We had lots of meetings. We had Mission Confernece on Wednesday and it was the best. I know that President Walker is inspired. He was saying things at the end that I really needed to hear. He said he didn't know why he was saying those things because he didn't plan on it at all. But I needed to hear what he said.  This was a hard week for finding. Nobody was home when we knocked on doors and nobody wanted to listen to us this week. But, it happens. Lacey FINALLY texted us back about meeting again. We're teaching them tomorrow. Please pray for Lacey and Leilynn!!  We got transfer news on Saturday and me and Sister Larson were nervous wrecks all day. A rumor was going around that I was going to Htech (the technology missionaries in Honolulu) and I was so nervous haha. But all four of us sisters are staying!! Woo hoo! We only had two Elders leave our zone, everyone else is staying which is so cool.  General Confernece was AWESOM...
