Psalm 30:5 -- April 26, 2021

Aloha and Happy Monday! If you wanna know how my week went, read the second half of the scripture in my title haha. We had interviews and zone conference this week! President and Sister Walker and the AP's were able to come to Kauai. Zone conference is finally the way it was before covid! It was great. We talked all about chapter four of PMG which talks about the Holy Ghost. We talked about recognizing the spirit and how to help others recognize the spirit. We also talked about how we can't do anything as missionaries without the spirit.

We did a lot of different service projects this week! We helped move banana trees on a farm in Anahola which is on the other side of the Island. That was fun! They made tuna fish sandwiches for lunch and if you know me you know that is not good hahaha. I was able to eat half of it and then I just couldn't do it. Luckily the member who made them couldn't finish either and they told us to feed our leftovers to their chickens so I did. πŸ˜¬πŸ˜‚

We also did a service in Kapaa for recent converts who moved here. They needed help unpacking and getting settled in. It was one of my favorite parts of the week! They were hillarious! The wife, Colleen, is definitely a hoarder so she had a ton of junk. So we had to help her get rid of lots of stuff. She put me in charge of the Mermaid bathroom because "I had Mermaid energy." Wonder why. πŸ€”πŸ˜‚ Me and some elders were also put in charge of putting up Christmas wreaths in their guest bedroom. And then 30 minutes later she said that she didn't really like Christmas. πŸ˜‚ She was a character, that's for sure. It was super fun.

We had lots of member appointments which were so fun! A member made me a fiiz drink and I was in heaven. She gave me soda and flavors to make my own too.πŸ˜… We're working really well with the members here and this ward is awesome. There is a special spirit here for sure. We had some investigators and recent converts come to a member dinner on Friday night which was awesome too! The members are all about missionary work here.

Leilynn will be baptized on Sunday! Woo hoo!! She is doing good. It's going to be a great week! Thanks for all of the love and support! I have the best friends and family eva. πŸ’—πŸ€™πŸΌ

We've had lots of construction here lately and tourists are coming back..traffic has been a nightmare πŸ₯΄

Tsunami warnings, car accidents, and six months -- March 8, 2021

Aloha!! Man this week was crazy busy! I love being busy again!! I hit my six months last week which I don't want to talk about...so crazy. I feel like I've been a missionary for a week but also five years at the same time haha. So on Tuesday we went and got some ice cream and sat by the beach which was fun. We had interviews on Wednesday with President Walker which is always a party. I also won the Kahoot that we played..no big deal.  On Thursday we had a zone flood in Lihue! Sister Larson and I made a new friend for the Lihue Elders named Ramina!  Also, we had a huge miracle this week!! We had a member named Summer who we hadn't met yet text us. She told us that her sister Lacey and her husband want to start having the missionary lessons and that they have an eight year old daughter who they want baptized...  That does not happen like ever so we were so excited!!!! We've taught them one lesson so far and it went alright. I was kind of all over the place in the lesson b...

So I guess this is my last weekly email. I get home on Thursday morning. It's very bittersweet. I'm so sad to leave Hawaii but so excited to see my family.  This last week was so good and so hard saying bye to everyone. We were able to go to the temple yesterday with some investigators and it was amazing. Man I love being a missionary and I've learned so much. πŸ’™πŸ’™ Laie Temple πŸ’™πŸŒΊ Kaylee is a girl we teach every Saturday:) Comp Study at Starbucks  Daughter #2 πŸ’œπŸ’œ
