Psalm 30:5 -- April 26, 2021

Aloha and Happy Monday! If you wanna know how my week went, read the second half of the scripture in my title haha. We had interviews and zone conference this week! President and Sister Walker and the AP's were able to come to Kauai. Zone conference is finally the way it was before covid! It was great. We talked all about chapter four of PMG which talks about the Holy Ghost. We talked about recognizing the spirit and how to help others recognize the spirit. We also talked about how we can't do anything as missionaries without the spirit.

We did a lot of different service projects this week! We helped move banana trees on a farm in Anahola which is on the other side of the Island. That was fun! They made tuna fish sandwiches for lunch and if you know me you know that is not good hahaha. I was able to eat half of it and then I just couldn't do it. Luckily the member who made them couldn't finish either and they told us to feed our leftovers to their chickens so I did. ๐Ÿ˜ฌ๐Ÿ˜‚

We also did a service in Kapaa for recent converts who moved here. They needed help unpacking and getting settled in. It was one of my favorite parts of the week! They were hillarious! The wife, Colleen, is definitely a hoarder so she had a ton of junk. So we had to help her get rid of lots of stuff. She put me in charge of the Mermaid bathroom because "I had Mermaid energy." Wonder why. ๐Ÿค”๐Ÿ˜‚ Me and some elders were also put in charge of putting up Christmas wreaths in their guest bedroom. And then 30 minutes later she said that she didn't really like Christmas. ๐Ÿ˜‚ She was a character, that's for sure. It was super fun.

We had lots of member appointments which were so fun! A member made me a fiiz drink and I was in heaven. She gave me soda and flavors to make my own too.๐Ÿ˜… We're working really well with the members here and this ward is awesome. There is a special spirit here for sure. We had some investigators and recent converts come to a member dinner on Friday night which was awesome too! The members are all about missionary work here.

Leilynn will be baptized on Sunday! Woo hoo!! She is doing good. It's going to be a great week! Thanks for all of the love and support! I have the best friends and family eva. ๐Ÿ’—๐Ÿค™๐Ÿผ

We've had lots of construction here lately and tourists are coming back..traffic has been a nightmare ๐Ÿฅด

The rains came down, and the floods came up ๐ŸŒง☔-- March 15, 2021

Aloha!! This week was kind of crazy...it was a hard week. I'm not sure if you all saw, but Hawaii had severe rainfall and floods this week on all of the Islands. It was scary. We drove a lot this week and I thought for sure we'd get into an accident a few times because of the rain. Two men even died on Maui from a landslide. Crazy stuff.  The weather made us hecka depressed so that was kind of hard. We taught Lacey and Laylynn again on Friday! Lacey asked if Laylynn can get baptized in May..of course we said yes haha. But we're a little concerned because we think that Lacey just wants to baptize her just to baptize her. Clearly we want her to be baptized and converted to the church, not just baptized just because. Laylynn does not want to be baptized either. So it's a work in progress. Honestly, not much happened this week because of the weather.  We did meet with a couple in our ward, the Brown's. They were the Mission President and wife of the Alpine, Germany miss...

We say "a hui hou" not "Aloha oe" -- February 22, 2021

Aloha!! Well, I am being transferred off Lanai...and I'm going to KAUAI!! I found out last Sunday that I would be leaving Lanai. President Walker said he woke up in the middle of the night and had a distinct impression that I needed to be somewhere else. I was not expecting that at all! I was told that I was going to be on Lanai for a while. I was actually excited to stay in Lanai because the work started progressing. But they're sending two awesome Filipino Elders over. One of the Elders coming, Elder Obando, has already served on Lanai for seven months and he's coming back ahaha. But he's awesome and the members here love him. So, we figured that I'd be going to Big Island because a ton of Sisters are leaving there..so I figured I'd go there or to Maui. But I was not expecting Kauai at all because they just put new sisters there. It's kind of interesting because there will be four of us sisters serving in the same ward. So we're kind of in a quad but m...
