Open your second stomach 🥙😋 -- April 5, 2021

Aloha!!

This week was SO busy, it was awesome. We had lots of meetings. We had Mission Confernece on Wednesday and it was the best. I know that President Walker is inspired. He was saying things at the end that I really needed to hear. He said he didn't know why he was saying those things because he didn't plan on it at all. But I needed to hear what he said.

This was a hard week for finding. Nobody was home when we knocked on doors and nobody wanted to listen to us this week. But, it happens. Lacey FINALLY texted us back about meeting again. We're teaching them tomorrow. Please pray for Lacey and Leilynn!!

We got transfer news on Saturday and me and Sister Larson were nervous wrecks all day. A rumor was going around that I was going to Htech (the technology missionaries in Honolulu) and I was so nervous haha. But all four of us sisters are staying!! Woo hoo! We only had two Elders leave our zone, everyone else is staying which is so cool.

General Confernece was AWESOME this weekend!! It went by too fast. I definitely had questions answered and I learned a lot. I hope you all did too. 20 NEW TEMPLES ARE YOU KIDDING??? I started crying, that is so cool. One of my favorite talks from Confernece was Elder Renlund. He talked about unfairness. He said that Jesus understands unfairness, which he does. He said that all that is unfair in life can be made right through the atonement. Jesus Christ yearns to make everything right. I loved that so much because I'm guilty of thinking at times about how things aren't fair. This talk really hit me. I would love to hear what your favorite talk was!!

Easter was probably one of my favorite days as a missionary. It was so special. We watched the second session as a zone. When we sang How Firm a Foundation as a zone I started crying again haha. I love being a missionary and I don't want it to ever end. We also went to a baptism for a teenager named Taylor! The Elders who taught her told us a lot about her. We fasted for her as a district a few weeks ago and she got baptized!! It was so special. She is amazing. We got fed A LOT this week. We always say we have to open our second stomachs. We had lots of dinner appointments, the members here are the best.

I'm so grateful for my Savior Jesus Christ. I love him so much and he truly does make everything possible. I love serving as a missionary. Nothing is harder, but also more rewarding or important. I love my family and my friends. Thanks for all of the love and support!!! Have a great week!

The rains came down, and the floods came up 🌧☔-- March 15, 2021

Aloha!! This week was kind of crazy...it was a hard week. I'm not sure if you all saw, but Hawaii had severe rainfall and floods this week on all of the Islands. It was scary. We drove a lot this week and I thought for sure we'd get into an accident a few times because of the rain. Two men even died on Maui from a landslide. Crazy stuff.  The weather made us hecka depressed so that was kind of hard. We taught Lacey and Laylynn again on Friday! Lacey asked if Laylynn can get baptized in May..of course we said yes haha. But we're a little concerned because we think that Lacey just wants to baptize her just to baptize her. Clearly we want her to be baptized and converted to the church, not just baptized just because. Laylynn does not want to be baptized either. So it's a work in progress. Honestly, not much happened this week because of the weather.  We did meet with a couple in our ward, the Brown's. They were the Mission President and wife of the Alpine, Germany miss...

We say "a hui hou" not "Aloha oe" -- February 22, 2021

Aloha!! Well, I am being transferred off Lanai...and I'm going to KAUAI!! I found out last Sunday that I would be leaving Lanai. President Walker said he woke up in the middle of the night and had a distinct impression that I needed to be somewhere else. I was not expecting that at all! I was told that I was going to be on Lanai for a while. I was actually excited to stay in Lanai because the work started progressing. But they're sending two awesome Filipino Elders over. One of the Elders coming, Elder Obando, has already served on Lanai for seven months and he's coming back ahaha. But he's awesome and the members here love him. So, we figured that I'd be going to Big Island because a ton of Sisters are leaving there..so I figured I'd go there or to Maui. But I was not expecting Kauai at all because they just put new sisters there. It's kind of interesting because there will be four of us sisters serving in the same ward. So we're kind of in a quad but m...
