Ivie's Missionary Journey

Hey everyone! I hope that you all had a great Thanksgiving!! We sure did, we got fed lots of yummy food! Our ward is awesome! I'm going to miss Thanksgiving in Hawaii. 🥲 I've been sick for the last week so that hasn't been fun. And now my comp is sick haha whoops..being sick sucks 😂 We had a huge miracle happen yesterday!! We've been teaching this girl names Kiki for a while. She comes to church pretty much every Sunday and she goes to all of the youth activities, she's 15. All of her best friends are members. She wasn't progressing because her parents didn't want her to be baptized and because she's moving at the end of the year....well our Bishop called us yesterday and told us that Kiki's parents gave her permission to be baptized and she wants to be baptized on December 11th!!!!!!!! So we went and taught her the first lesson yesterday and we'll be meeting with her almost every other day to get her baptized next Saturday!!! Such a miracle!! ...

Hi everyone! Our pday is actually today this week because we had Zone Conference on Sunday and MLC yesterday. I'm not sure when the last time was that I sent an email tbh...but we're about two weeks into the transfer. My comp is Sister Van Leeuwen and I'm still in Milillani!  Zone Conference with Elder Bednar was so amazing!!!! He was so funny and it was such an uplifting meeting. It was just what I needed. He interacted with us the entire time he was there. He would ask us questions and at the end we got to ask him questions too. The entire mission was there which has never happened before!  Elder Bednar mainly talked about revelation and the Book of Mormon. Personal revelation has been on my mind a lot over the last few weeks. MLC was also about personal revelation yesterday. One of my favorite things that Elder Bednar said was, " Don't worry about receiving revelation. We don't need it all day everyday. The Lord trusts us and wants us to exercise our agency....

Hey guys! This week was pretty good. Not much happened. We had transfers and I'm staying in Milillani with a new companion, Sister Van Luween. I only have three more transfers left, so that's crazy.  Going to the temple last week was so amazing!!! I miss being able to go as often as I want. It was so cool being able to go with other missionaries too! The Laie temple is so beautiful!!! Elder Bednar is coming to our mission in November to have a meeting with our entire mission! All of the missionaries from all of the outer islands will be coming!! We're all so excited!! Hope everyone has a great week!!
