Week of Miracles Pt 2 -- Monday, July 12, 2021

What's up everyone! This was was SO COOL!! So many blessings and miracles happened so I'm sorry I won't write about them all or you'll be reading this all day haha.

Our mission is doing a Book of Mormon challenge where we read the BOM in 65 days(the time that Joseph Smith translated it). I am LOVING it!! I love the BOM so much and I know you all know that but I've always had such a strong testimony of it. We also handed out 5 BOMs to people this week who like actually wanted them. 😂 Idk why I thought I'd be handing out so many on my mission but you really don't. 5 is the most I've handed out in a week so far!

WE PUT MATTHEW ON DATE TO BE BAPTIZED ON AUGUST 31!!! GUYS. HUGE MIRACLE!!! He told us that he wanted to be baptized but within 2 years. But we basically made him pick a date within the next three months and he said August 31! He is so ready he just needed to realize it. We're all so excited!!

Uh also Elder Renlund was at our ward yesterday! We had 7 of our friends, including a referral named Jason, come to church which was pretty awesome. Elder Renlund talked to pretty much all of our friends! Matthew met him as well. He went out of his way a few times to talk to Sister Mabbutt and I. He told us that it was awesome seeing so many nonmembers at church and that was pretty cool ngl.😂 He didn't know that there was a branch on Lanai so we talked about that too. It was pretty awesome!! I will never forget it, that's for sure!!

While we do the BOM challenge I'll share one of my favorite verses from the weeks readings soooo here is week 1:)
1 Nephi 15:24
"And I said unto them that it was the word of God; and whoso would hearken unto the word of God, and would hold fast unto it, they would never perish; neither could the temptations and the fiery darts of the adversary overpower them unto blindness, to lead them away to destruction."
This is one of my favorite scriptures EVER!! I do have such a strong testimony of The Book of Mormon. It's changed my life and I've seen it change others lives too.

Anyways...sorry this is so long but this week was pretty awesome.:)) Love you guys, have a great week!! 💙💙

The rains came down, and the floods came up 🌧☔-- March 15, 2021

Aloha!! This week was kind of crazy...it was a hard week. I'm not sure if you all saw, but Hawaii had severe rainfall and floods this week on all of the Islands. It was scary. We drove a lot this week and I thought for sure we'd get into an accident a few times because of the rain. Two men even died on Maui from a landslide. Crazy stuff.  The weather made us hecka depressed so that was kind of hard. We taught Lacey and Laylynn again on Friday! Lacey asked if Laylynn can get baptized in May..of course we said yes haha. But we're a little concerned because we think that Lacey just wants to baptize her just to baptize her. Clearly we want her to be baptized and converted to the church, not just baptized just because. Laylynn does not want to be baptized either. So it's a work in progress. Honestly, not much happened this week because of the weather.  We did meet with a couple in our ward, the Brown's. They were the Mission President and wife of the Alpine, Germany miss...

We say "a hui hou" not "Aloha oe" -- February 22, 2021

Aloha!! Well, I am being transferred off Lanai...and I'm going to KAUAI!! I found out last Sunday that I would be leaving Lanai. President Walker said he woke up in the middle of the night and had a distinct impression that I needed to be somewhere else. I was not expecting that at all! I was told that I was going to be on Lanai for a while. I was actually excited to stay in Lanai because the work started progressing. But they're sending two awesome Filipino Elders over. One of the Elders coming, Elder Obando, has already served on Lanai for seven months and he's coming back ahaha. But he's awesome and the members here love him. So, we figured that I'd be going to Big Island because a ton of Sisters are leaving there..so I figured I'd go there or to Maui. But I was not expecting Kauai at all because they just put new sisters there. It's kind of interesting because there will be four of us sisters serving in the same ward. So we're kind of in a quad but m...
