Not today Satan 😈✌🏼-- November 30, 2020

Aloha! I hope that everyone had a great Thanksgiving! We sure did! We were able to go to both the Fong's and Mataele's for some food. This week was a pretty slow week. We didn't have a ton going on. We were mostly working with a few friends who we've been teaching.

SYLVIA GOT BAPTIZED ON SATURDAY! We found out on Friday that she actually isn't in our ward..so for a fat minute we didn't think she'd be able to be baptized on Saturday because our ward (manoa ward) wanted her to be baptized into her actual ward (mcCully ward). Well the mcCully ward wanted her to be baptized into manoa. So it was a little stressful but we got it all figured out. Stressful things always happen right before someone is supposed to be baptized. That strengthens my testimony of the truthfulness of our church because Satan does all that he can to get people to not be baptized. Well, not today satan! 👊🏼 Her baptism was great! She was so happy and felt the spirit so strongly. I will never forget my first baptism! So cool.

Michael came to church yesterday! He seems to really enjoy it which is great. Our ward is the best at making him feel welcomed. He definitely looks different, but our ward is the best. Brother Hansen in our ward invited him to a service that we're doing tonight and he plans to come. We will also teach Michael on Wednesday! He's doing great right now!

It's transfer week, so the next day or so will be busy. We have Sister Fiame with us for a few days too. She was on Maui but flew here to go through the temple! She is still with us but will fly to Maui probably tomorrow or Wednesday. We will have another sister staying with us just for tonight too. So it will be a party. Lots of awesome missionaries are leaving this transfer too.😥 I'm not sure if I'll ever get used to missionaries going home. I still have one more transfer of training, so nothing is changing for me this transfer! I hope that everyone has a great week!! Love you all! ❤💚

Happy 6 months to the best trainer ever!!! 💗

The rains came down, and the floods came up 🌧☔-- March 15, 2021

Aloha!! This week was kind of crazy...it was a hard week. I'm not sure if you all saw, but Hawaii had severe rainfall and floods this week on all of the Islands. It was scary. We drove a lot this week and I thought for sure we'd get into an accident a few times because of the rain. Two men even died on Maui from a landslide. Crazy stuff.  The weather made us hecka depressed so that was kind of hard. We taught Lacey and Laylynn again on Friday! Lacey asked if Laylynn can get baptized in May..of course we said yes haha. But we're a little concerned because we think that Lacey just wants to baptize her just to baptize her. Clearly we want her to be baptized and converted to the church, not just baptized just because. Laylynn does not want to be baptized either. So it's a work in progress. Honestly, not much happened this week because of the weather.  We did meet with a couple in our ward, the Brown's. They were the Mission President and wife of the Alpine, Germany miss...

We say "a hui hou" not "Aloha oe" -- February 22, 2021

Aloha!! Well, I am being transferred off Lanai...and I'm going to KAUAI!! I found out last Sunday that I would be leaving Lanai. President Walker said he woke up in the middle of the night and had a distinct impression that I needed to be somewhere else. I was not expecting that at all! I was told that I was going to be on Lanai for a while. I was actually excited to stay in Lanai because the work started progressing. But they're sending two awesome Filipino Elders over. One of the Elders coming, Elder Obando, has already served on Lanai for seven months and he's coming back ahaha. But he's awesome and the members here love him. So, we figured that I'd be going to Big Island because a ton of Sisters are leaving there..so I figured I'd go there or to Maui. But I was not expecting Kauai at all because they just put new sisters there. It's kind of interesting because there will be four of us sisters serving in the same ward. So we're kind of in a quad but m...
