Book of Mormon coming in clutch 💪 -- November 16, 2020

Alooohhhaaaaa!

This week is a little different. We did a service at the aloha stadium today from 7-3 ish. The aloha stadium is UH's football stadium so that was cool. We have half of our Pday today and we had our other half of the Pday on Saturday. We met with Sylvia on Saturday and put her on date for baptism!!!! We hope to get her baptized on November 28! She was telling us about how she knows the Book of Mormon is true and how it all just makes sense. We are so excited for her!!

I'm doing great and a lot has happened this week. But I just want to talk about the Book of Mormon today! I finished reading it last week. I typically read it about 2 or 3 times a year. I know the book is true but I always want to take Moroni's challenge at the end and pray to know the truth through the power of the holy ghost. I did that the day I finished, and as soon as I started praying I felt the Holy Ghost testify to me once again that the book is true. As I was praying the sun shone in our apartment. That was a tender mercy and I felt like God was telling me at that time that he loves me and is aware of me. He knew that I had finished the book that day and did that for me. Again, I know that God is aware of me and I know he loves me. But it's so cool when you have those experiences that testify of that again and again. As soon as I ended my prayer the light stopped shining in our apartment.

I KNOW that the Book of Mormon is true. If the Book of Mormon is true, then Joseph Smith was a prophet of God, and our church is true. That's why having a testimony of the Book of Mormon is so important. I read a conference talk shortly after finishing the book that I will send at the end. It's by Brother Callisiter and he talks about how there is no way that Jospeh Smith made up the Book of Mormon. If you think he did, you're crazy. He could barely write a letter. The Book of Mormon is way too complex for him to have made that up. Let alone the accuracy of the book and the historical dates that line up. Anyways. Sorry I get very passionate about this. But I will send a screenshot of the talk and I HIGHLY ENCOURAGE you all to read it!!! It's SO good!! I also encourage you all to read the introduction to the book of mormon and all of the testimonies. Again, I know that the book of mormon is true.
