Ivie's Missionary Journey

Hey everyone!! Hope everyone is having a great week so far. This week was good and hard haha. Since I've been called as a traveling STL, I'm on SO many exchanges with other sisters. I was only with Sister Burton for half of the time last week. It's been hard for the both of us.  I got into BYU!! So did Claire!! We're both super excited. Tbh I really didn't think that I'd get in but I'm super excited. I had my last zone conference on Saturday which was good and hard. I had to give my departing testimony and say bye to a lot of the missionaries.  We have an investigator named Kris who we've been teaching ever since I've been here. On Saturday night we taught her, her husband, and her son at our Bishop's house. We taught the restoration. Well at church yesterday she came up to us and told us that she was pissed about the lesson and that our presentation sucked. She said that she was pissed that the church let us teach the way that we did. Ahahaha yi...

Hey everyone! The last few weeks have been sooooo busy! My new companions name is Sister Burton! She's amazing. She's still adjusting to the mission life but she's amazing already. We got to do service at Pearl Harbor this week which is always fun.  I was called as a traveling STL so I travel to the other zones on Oahu and do exchanges with the other sisters. This week I got to go back to Honolulu in the Manoa ward! My greenie area.   I forgot how hot Honolulu is....it was fun though. We found a new friend and saw a lot of miracles. It was so cool to be back in that area and take the sisters to former investigators.  This lady we've been teaching since I got here has been bringing her son to church the last two weeks! My comp and I bore our testimonies in church yesterday and were encouraging the members to meet with us. Sister Burton said that she needed some practice teaching the lessons. Well after church Eric, the investigators son, came up to us and was like hey...

Hi everyone!! Sorry I haven't sent an email in so long....hehe whoops. This transfer has been so much fun being in a trio!! We've been over two wards so we've been super busy and we've had so much fun together!! Wednesday starts my last transfer....I'll be staying in Milillani in the Waipiolani ward and I'll be training a new sister straight from the MTC, Sister Burton! I'm nervous haha. I'll also be a traveling STL so I'll be traveling around Oahu to the other zones doing exchanges with the STLs...which will be fun and different! We've been teaching a family, Michael, Terri, and Michelle. They live across from our Bishop. Michelle, the daughter is definitely more interested than her parents. We took her to the temple on Friday with our Bishop's family! It was awesome! We've asked them to be baptized and they said no....for now😏. We've been teaching some other people too but if I talked about them all this would be the longest email ...

Happy New Year everyone!! I can't believe that it's 2022 already...  The holidays were good here! New Years Eve was INSANE with all of the fireworks. Keep in mind that all fireworks are illegal on Oahu hahaha but the fireworks were crazy.  Things here are pretty good. The last few weeks have been hard because either I've been sick, or my companions have been. So many people in our area have covid. Numbers are insane in Hawaii right now. Because of the numbers, we can't do much right now. We can't meet with our districts or zones at all and member appointments are limited. Please pray that numbers can go down everywhere! I'm over this covid, hahaha.  Our members are so amazing!! I feel so blessed to be in the Waipiolani and Milillani 4th wards. They're both so amazing!! I hope I finish here tbh...I love the people here so much. Overall things are good but prayers are always appreciated!! I hope that everyone is doing great!! Happy New Year!! Love you all!!   ...
